Boy: un film pieno di riferimenti a Michael Jackson

“Boy” (Boy) is a 2010 comedy-drama film from New Zealand and is considered the highest-grossing film in the history of New Zealand cinema. This film was released this year on January 22 at the Sundance Film Festival in the United States.

“Boy” tells a story set in 1984, when Michael Jackson rules the world—even on the remote island of New Zealand. And his trailer album changes the lives of countless children.

The film’s star is an 11-year-old boy who is obsessed with Michael and even knows how to dance. He has two heroes in his life: Michael Jackson and his father. In his dreams, he sees his father charging forward across the seas, winning battles in the front lines—and, of course, he also has a close friendship with his hero, Michael Jackson.

But in reality, his father is in prison for theft. When he returns to his family after 7 years to retrieve the money he buried somewhere years ago, the boy is forced to challenge his dreams against the new reality he faces.

The film has received a very positive response from critics. 86% of reviews are positive and it has earned a 7.3 out of 10 rating.
