On June 25, 2009, Conrad Murray took Michael's life by injecting a high dose of an anesthetic called propofol. Murray used this drug to put Michael to sleep, as he suffered from severe insomnia. Murray was imprisoned two years later for involuntary manslaughter and happened to be placed in the same cell block as James DeBarge, who had been arrested for drug use and disorderly conduct.
