AEG Case Sent to Appeals Court

About two weeks ago, Katherine Jackson filed an appeal in the AEG case. The case has now been sent to the court of appeals for a decision.

During the AEG trial, which lasted many months, Katherine Jackson's lawyers managed to convince the jury that Dr. Conrad Murray had been employed by AEG. This was the first step in proving the claim that AEG bore responsibility for the King of Pop's death four years ago. Nevertheless, the jury did not find AEG guilty. This was despite considerable information having been presented in court about how company executives had ignored Michael's physical and mental condition.

Katherine Jackson hopes that the appeals court will overturn the ruling, or perhaps we will witness another trial to reconsider AEG's liability.

Although the AEG case had many opponents and led to the public exposure of much private information about Michael's life, Katherine Jackson has said she feels no regret or remorse about having sued the company.
