Katherine Jackson Thanks Ohio Marching Band

You read that some time ago, during halftime at a rugby match in Ohio, a marching group took the field to perform a tribute to Michael Jackson, executing his moonwalk dance in a notably impressive way accompanied by the King of Pop's songs.

The video of this performance went viral on the internet, attracting millions of viewers.

Five days after the match, Michael Jackson's mother contacted John Waters, the director of the halftime show, to thank him. Waters said:

"Mrs. Jackson was very gracious and repeatedly said she was grateful to me and the group's members. She was deeply moved by the group's performance and thanked us on behalf of the entire family."

Waters says that the enormous attention given to the group's performance benefits the Ohio State University program as a whole. They hope their successful performance will inspire many children to dream of joining the marching group.
