Tim Burton had his eyes on Michael Jackson

Many people believe that Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are an amazing artistic duo. Together, this actor and director created beautiful films such as Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd, Alice in Wonderland, and the animated film Corpse Bride. But is there a dream Burton has not been able to achieve? Michael Jackson is the answer to that question.

Tim Burton recently went to the London Film Festival with his life partner and actor in his films, Helena Bonham Carter, to screen his new animation Frankenweenie and also to receive an award. During the event, Burton was asked whether, aside from all his achievements, there had ever been an idea he had failed to bring to the silver screen.

Burton revealed that a film with Michael Jackson was something he couldn’t achieve.

"Years ago, I tried to convince the company to let me make a musical version of the film ‘House Of Wax’ starring Michael Jackson. That was years ago, but it crossed my mind again."

According to Burton, unfortunately, the idea wasn’t at all interesting to the company.

House Of Wax was remade in 2005 based on a horror film with the same title from 1953. Paris Hilton starred in it, and the director was Jaume Collet-Serra.
