New complaints against Conrad Murray

It has recently been reported that the California medical board has increased its complaints against Conrad Murray, the doctor who was convicted in Michael Jackson’s murder. In February, the board submitted to the court a request for the permanent revocation of Murray’s medical license, relying on two reasons: his conviction in the murder trial of Michael Jackson and failing to create a medical file for his patient.

Some time ago, on June 27, the board added three more violations to Murray’s case through an amendment: gross negligence—repeated and successive negligence—and incompetence in administering dangerous medications.

Murray previously had permission to practice medicine in three states: California, Nevada, and Texas. In January 2011, a judge in Los Angeles barred him from practicing in that state, and his license period in California ended last month. Meanwhile, he has also been banned from working in Nevada and Texas. However, the medical board must wait for the final court ruling before permanently revoking Conrad Murray’s license.
