Paris Jackson Plays a Role in a White Castle Film

You read that earlier this year, Paris traveled to the south of the state of Louisiana to scout locations for her new film, Landon’s Bridge. During this visit, the Nutawee farm located in White Castle (the “White Castle”) was selected as a filming location.

The film Landon’s Bridge is being produced by Paralight Films in five parts, based on five story books by Dennis H. Christen. Filming for the first part of this film will begin this summer at the beautiful Nutawee farm.

In the first part of the five-part Landon’s Bridge series, 14-year-old Paris plays “Landon O’Malley,” a 13-year-old girl. Half of the film is animated.

Dennis Christen said that when choosing the Nutawee farm, he had pictured the place in his mind while writing the book:

“In part of the story, children turn into butterflies and take flight under oak trees. That’s exactly what I had in mind.”

Paris’s close friend, Michaela Blanks, who was present during the Jackson family’s trip to Montreal for the opening of the King of Pop’s Immortal tour, accompanied Paris in Louisiana as well. She is one year older than Paris and works in theater and modeling. She plays one of the butterflies in this film.

Stephen Sobisky, founder of the C-it Entertainment Group and Sandman Studios, said about Paris:

“Paris wants to pursue an acting career. But she’s young and just getting into it. Our group wants to provide her with the opportunity to gain experience. All great actors start from step one.”

But Paris has another role besides acting in this film. She is expected to travel to schools across the state and promote the Landon’s Bridge book and film. She wants to encourage middle-school students to raise money to help schools that are facing a lack of resources.

As reported, the film is being made to raise funds for schools. This revenue includes sales of the book, film posters, movie tickets, and other items related to the project. Half of the film and book revenue will be given to the schools.

The group also traveled to Plaquemine in New Orleans, Louisiana, to visit the Iberville Parish school’s Academy of Science and Mathematics. During this visit, they toured the seventh-grade classes and took photos with the students. Paris and other group members also answered questions from some of these students.

Paris said that Louisiana is very different from Los Angeles—the city where she grew up. One of the interesting questions was asked by a polite boy from the school, who asked Paris whether she would like to go with them on their next visit to their school to go on a ride through the mud in a “flower-to-swamp” style. Michaela and Paris welcomed the suggestion.
