Jackson Café: A Hangout for Swiss Michael Fans
La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland hosts a month-long exhibition every year during Easter. Maria Gianet, a die-hard fan of the King of Pop, is the organizer of this exhibition, and with her husband Daniel, she runs “Jackson Café.”
This café is open from early morning until late at night throughout the month, and is generally dedicated entirely to Michael Jackson.
People come for Maria’s cooking, and in the meantime they can write a few lines in a large book to remember Michael. The book has several hundred pages and is planned to be sent to the Jackson family.
Inside Jackson Café, Michael posters are everywhere—whatever traces of the King of Pop there are, they can be seen on the shelves, from books and magazines to various DVDs and CDs.
You can guess the music played in this café. There’s also a large monitor that shows Michael’s videos.
Surprise! (a replica) There’s also a History statue! With a carousel decorated with Michael’s photos. Even the electric toy cars play “This Is It” (Michael’s last tour title).
DJ’s and Michael impersonators come to this place. The atmosphere is very friendly and intimate. Fans of all ages meet here and share their memories with others. Several circus artists help Maria in the café, and with their beautiful performances they get customers excited—and also offer their love for Michael.
Jackson Café is an amazing and fun place, and there’s no doubt that Michael’s spirit is there too.
