Etta James has died
Etta James, who is famous as the mother of R&B music, died last Friday at the age of 73 after battling cancer.
Her first album, titled At Last, was released in 1960, and the title track from that album became known as Etta James’s signature and brought her fame. She was one of the most influential female singers in the world and a pathfinder for today’s and yesterday’s artists such as Diana Ross, Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera, and Beyoncé.
She has a quote about Michael Jackson from when she was a child. Etta James said:
"Here’s a little boy who’s trying to learn from the greats. So one day he’ll be the greatest."
Michael began his artistic career at the age of 6 in 1964, along with his four brothers, as the group Jackson 5.
