Joe Jackson’s Lawyer Put on Trial

Brian Oxman, the dismissed lawyer who served as Michael Jackson’s father’s attorney and who also calls himself the lawyer for the Jackson family in the media, has been barred from practicing for the third time. This incident coincided with Michael’s 2005 trial. That year, when Oxman, one of Michael’s lawyers, fell asleep and snored during the 2005 court session, Thomas Mesereau, Michael Jackson’s senior attorney, issued his dismissal. Oxman and his wife were found guilty in 4 and 5 counts, respectively, by the state’s governing board, and his wife was accused of ethical corruption. Of course, since the two admitted their wrongdoing and cooperated with the police, they will receive a reduced sentence.
