Listen to Celine Dion Singing in Praise of Michael Jackson

Earlier on this page, you read that Celine Dion will perform a tribute to Michael Jackson at her March 15 concert at the Caesars Palace Casino Hotel. Celine Dion has said:

“I admire Michael so much. I’ll never forget the day he came to see my concert [A New Day]. He was sitting at the back of the hall. After the concert, he came to me and spoke with me. He asked me about how the concert came together—how it finally happened. I think maybe he was also eager to have something like that for himself.”

A New Day ran for almost 5 years (March 2003 to December 2007) at the 4,000-seat Caesars Palace Theater in Las Vegas, hosted by Celine Dion. The show had impressive stage production, performing arts, and innovative technology. With more than 700 performances and 3 million viewers, it earned $400 million over 5 years and became one of the highest-grossing live shows in music history.
