The Family Will Be in Gary on Michael’s Anniversary
The quiet, calm city of Gary in Indiana—away from the madness of Los Angeles—seems like an appropriate place to commemorate the anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death.
A Jackson family friend in Gary said that members of this family will come to their hometown on the anniversary of Michael’s death, to the famous Jacksons’ house at 2300 Jackson Street.
On Friday, June 25, a memorial for Michael will be unveiled, and perhaps Catherine will say a few words. The memorial was sent from its construction location last month to the Jacksons’ house in Gary, and it is still under a cover in the yard. On that day, the flowers Catherine ordered will be transported from Los Angeles to Gary.
Although it has been said that the ceremony will be private, at the order of Mayor Rudy Clay, the area around the Jacksons’ house has been carefully cleaned. Clay said that thousands of people are expected to be present at the location on Friday. He also said that candles will be lit outside the house at night.
