Listen to This Is It on October 12

As soon as Monday, October 12 begins in New York, at 12:00 a.m. Sunday Eastern time (7:30 a.m. Monday in Tehran), Michael’s new song titled “This Is It” will be heard by people around the world for the first time on the site www.MichaelJackson.com. This moment is yet another exciting and unforgettable one from among the most prominent and respected music legends in the world.

The song is included at the end of the film This Is It, whose release begins on October 28, and also on the second disc of the This Is It album, which hits the market on October 26 (October 27 in North America). The voices of Michael’s brothers can be heard in the background of this song.

John McClain, one of the producers of this album and Michael’s lawyer, says that the song This Is It:

“Will prove once again what everyone knows—that Michael is one of God’s greatest gifts.”

On October 12, in addition to this song, a new photo of Michael taken during rehearsals in the Staples Center will also be shown for the first time on this same site.

But what will be on the This Is It album?

The first disc includes: the original versions of some of Michael’s best musical works, plus two versions of “This Is It”—one original and one orchestral.

A 36-page booklet containing unique photos of Michael Jackson’s latest rehearsals onstage, along with a poster for the film This Is It, will also be included with this album.

The film This Is It describes the efforts made from March 2009 until the end of June of this year to create what could become the biggest live show in the history of live performance. More than 100 hours of Michael Jackson’s rehearsals recorded onstage were used in the making of this film.

Kenny Ortega, director of the never-before-performed This Is It concert tour, is the director of this film. The producers of the film are Randy Phillips, CEO of AEG, the concert promoter company, Kenny Ortega, and Paul Gongwer. The executive producers are Michael’s lawyers, John Branca and John McClain.
