Judge: The kids are doing well

On Friday, the Los Angeles court held a session to review the situation of Michael’s three children aged 7 to 12 after their father’s death, and Judge Mitchell Beckloff expressed his satisfaction in this regard. He said that after reading the investigator’s report, he was very pleased:

“It appears that the children are really having a great time with their grandmother, who is their guardian.”

In his will, Michael had entrusted the guardianship of his children to his mother, Katherine. In August, the judge granted permanent guardianship of Michael Jr., Paris, and Prince to Katherine. $60,000 per month from Michael’s assets is spent on taking care of the children.

In this session, the judge increased the powers of Michael’s lawyers, John Branca and John McClain, to handle his financial and business affairs. According to the will, these two are responsible for handling Michael’s affairs and carrying out the provisions of the will. By granting general powers to these two lawyers, Judge Beckloff allowed them to act in contracts that are not opposed by Katherine Jackson, without holding a court session and without getting her approval, and also to handle the King of Pop’s financial complaints and debts.
