A New Spike Lee Documentary About Michael
Last Wednesday, September 30, Spike Lee—filmmaker and one of Michael’s friends—visited the home of Michael’s childhood in Gary, on the street that was later named Jackson Street 2300 in honor of the Jackson family, to make a documentary about him.
Spike Lee and his crew filmed scenes inside this house. The Jackson family lived there before moving to Encino.
The documentary is expected to be released in mid-October, ahead of the release of the film This Is It. Gary mayor Rudy Clay was also present at the time of filming at the house.
