Michael’s merchandise products finally approved

Late yesterday, a session was held in the Los Angeles Superior Court to decide on the rights to manufacture and sell products bearing Michael’s name and brand. The judge approved the offering of these products.

Last week, when issuing the ruling in this matter, Judge Beckloff faced objections from Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, and decided to appoint a lawyer to represent Michael’s children in court. He finally announced his agreement yesterday.

However, Katherine Jackson objected to the transfer of Michael’s memorabilia to other countries as a way to show her opposition. If the court approved this idea, Michael’s memorabilia would also be taken on tour. Michael’s lawyers, as well as AEG’s lawyers, wanted to obtain the judge’s approval on Monday, but Mitchell Beckloff preferred to conduct further review before making a decision that would be beneficial to the assets and finances of the King of Pop.

The company wants to put these memorabilia on public display at the same time as the showing of footage from Michael’s rehearsals in cinemas. The company’s lawyer said that delaying the ruling could reduce the company’s interest in carrying out this tour. The contract to display Michael’s memorabilia could generate $6 million in revenue for Michael Jackson.

The lawyer who was representing Michael’s children in court also said that this contract must be approved.

Judge Beckloff said he is in a difficult position and believes that delaying the ruling would be harmful to Michael Jackson’s assets. But he also said he needs more information. He added that Katherine Jackson is not the owner of these memorabilia and he sees no reason to involve her in these contracts.
