AEG: Michael is working on new choreography

Randy Phillips, president and CEO of AEG, continues to share exciting and interesting updates about Michael’s upcoming concerts. In a fresh interview with The Telegraph, he said: "It’s true that Michael Jackson is 50, but for some time now he’s been working on a series of new moves and dances, and he wants to show them for the first time in his concerts. Moves that are as good as Moonwalk, but different. Phillips and Michael knew each other 15 years ago, until their contact was cut off. But when Phillips came to AEG, he put together a list of people he wanted to work with for performances, and Michael was at the top of that list. Phillips says that Jackson turned down his offer twice before, until a few months ago—when this superstar was thinking about putting his finances in order—the idea gained strength again. But that doesn’t mean Michael is doing concerts for money. Phillips says: "The media exaggerates Michael’s financial problems far beyond reality, and in an unrealistic way." He rejected the rumor that Michael is holding concerts to get rid of debts and financial troubles, and said that he asked him very directly why he accepted to do these concerts now. Michael’s answer was: "You know what it is—my children are old enough now." This AEG executive, whose company runs and owns the O2 arena, believes—like many others in London—that the concerts Michael will stage with advertising from July 2009 to February 2010, and the people they will bring to London from all over the world, will help the city’s economy with $500 million. Phillips jokes: "If Michael gets anxious to the point that he can’t go on stage, I’ll put him on my shoulders and carry him to the stage. He’s light enough for that." Mr. Phillips condemns the sensational newspapers’ ridiculous news about Michael’s deadly illnesses and says: "We were having dinner, and he was sitting across from me, healthy and cheerful as always, when suddenly I received an SMS from Google saying that Michael has a meat-eating disease." The world is eagerly waiting for Michael’s return and his record-breaking concerts—especially now that new dance moves, new music, and new plans are about to happen.
