AEG Live sues Viagogo

After the Viagogo website made concert tickets available to brokers in order to create a black market for them, the court judge on Friday ordered the site to protect AEG Live from this phenomenon. After working with Ticketmaster to sell Michael Jackson concert tickets, AEG decided to use Viagogo to protect ticket buyers from falling into the brokers’ traps. Fans on that site were buying, selling, and trading tickets—until the site itself turned into a black market and a place for brokers to profit. Now, the prices of tickets for these concerts on sites such as eBay have reached as high as 1,300 pounds.
