Fans protest ticket sales
Because of the extremely high demand to buy tickets for Michael’s 50 concerts in London, many fans were unable to get tickets. Some of them have set up a website where fans can share their opinions, complaints, and frustrations about this.
The site says:
"This site is a place for those Michael Jackson fans who are angry about how Michael Jackson concert tickets are being sold. We fans must make our voices heard to AEG and Ticketmaster and tell them we are unhappy with their behavior. Besides that, Michael must become aware of this situation. Even if it’s too late to change things, all fans should make their voices heard to the people responsible.
As Michael Jackson fans, we have always been by his side. We have supported him in both small and big matters. We stood by him during the hardest times and defended him whenever it was necessary. That’s how a special relationship formed between Michael Jackson and his fans. When Michael Jackson announced that he was going to perform again, all of our wishes came true. We had been waiting for this moment for a long time. After all those years, finally we could look forward to an artistic event from Michael. Fans around the world prepared for their trip to London. The excitement was back. But now, after the tickets sold out, many hopes have been dashed because many real fans couldn’t buy tickets.
We are confident that Michael would prefer his fans to come to his concerts instead of ordinary people.
The front rows are not reserved for his fans, but for those people who have more money. Does Michael really want his front rows to be filled with his fans—or with people who are only there because they have money? Why were the tickets sold so expensively?
We have always been in the front line to support Michael—now look at where we are: the back rows of the hall.
There is a lot to say: repeated failures of ticket-selling websites, the black market, and...
Every fan has a story to tell. Share it with us. Let those who are responsible for such a situation know your feelings—and most importantly, let Michael know how you feel."
