AEG Company Manager Says to Michael
Rob Hall, the manager of AEG Live’s global tour, said in a Q&A session at the hotel where he was staying in New York:
"We’re happy to be preparing the return facilities for the King of Pop. Long live his reign! Michael’s performance at the O2 this summer will certainly be the biggest musical event of the year. When Michael Jackson performs, the eyes of the whole world are on him. This year will be his only concert in the world."
A new video of Michael’s stunning dance moves will be broadcast on British network ITV on March 8 this year at 9:30 PM local time. Michael Jackson will be the first artist to take up the entire time slot reserved for commercial messages.
Tim Leiweke, president and CEO of AEG, also says that Michael Jackson will probably perform 20 to 25 concerts at the O2 Arena:
"We announce 10 concerts, but I think you’ll see 20, 25 shows. The budget for these concerts..... Wow!"
He also said about Michael: "This man is very wise. He’s very focused on his work. This man is very healthy and in good shape. I think his name has been smeared. Contrary to everything you read about him, he’s fine. Getting this man to perform these concerts has made our sweat."
He continued by saying that for now, they’ve been trying for two years to persuade Michael to perform these concerts.
When asked why the O2 was chosen as the stage for Michael’s return, he said that it is the most important music venue in the world today.
