Michael Speaks at the O2
Today, as Michael left the Lansbury Hotel to go to the press conference at the O2 Arena, he raised his hand in a peace sign and got on the bus.
With a 90-minute delay due to heavy traffic in London, he arrived at a hall where hundreds of fans and journalists had been gathered for hours. At the O2, in a press conference, Michael personally announced the news of 10 concerts to be held in this same venue. These concerts will begin in July this year and continue until September. Michael was invited on stage by the show host Dermot O'Leary, who hosts X Factor (a show similar to American Idol in the UK). The King of Pop entered the stage with long, proud strides and delivered the following remarks to the crowd, who were shouting with excitement:
"Thank you all. This is exactly what you were waiting for! These concerts will be my last in London. And when I say it’s the end, I mean it’s the end. Because I’m going to perform the songs my fans want to hear. This is the final invitation. I’ll see you in July. And... I love you. That’s right, you should know this. I love you so much. From the bottom of my heart. This is what you’ve been waiting for. I’ll see you in July."
When Michael said these would be his last concerts, the fans filled the air with cries of "No, no,... no".
After his brief three-minute speech, he did not answer any questions. Michael’s words were somewhat mysterious, leaving the question of whether these concerts would be his last in London or in the world.
It is said that these concerts will begin on July 8. From now on, tickets for these concerts are available for pre-sale on the website www.MichaelJacksonLive.com. Official sales begin on March 13. Ticket prices are expected to range from £65 to £75.
