 According to a report by the website The Smoking Gun and several other news agencies, this year the police and a child support organization carried out investigations into the allegations made against Michael Jackson, and the results of these reviews were concluded to be "baseless." A government memo shows that some investigations were carried out by the Sensitive Case Unit (SCU) in Los Angeles and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). According to the reports received, these investigations began after a call from a school official, following the viewing of the documentary program Living With Michael Jackson via a special child abuse hotline. In this government memo, reference is made to the statements of the child’s mother, who described the person as "someone like a father to the children and part of his family." The memo also states that the eldest child in the family, the boy sister who was introduced as the alleged victim, also denied any wrongdoing and emphasized that he had accompanied his brothers during their stay at Neverland and that he had not observed any inappropriate sexual behavior between his brothers and Michael. It should be noted that, according to reports recently published, the child’s family had arranged a complaint in 1998 in which they claimed that they were beaten by security officers at a store, and the mother also claimed that during this incident she was sexually assaulted. In this case, the family won $137,500. Russel Halpern, the father’s lawyer, said that his former wife has an extraordinary power to force her children to give false testimony.
