December 14, 2003 - The phone line dedicated in Santa Barbara did not meet expectations

The phone lines opened by the Santa Barbara district police headquarters proved fruitless for the expectations of officials regarding new accusations against Michael Jackson. According to an article published a few hours earlier, "Sergeant Chris Pappas from the Santa Barbara police station announced today that over the past two weeks, the police received about 70 calls related to this case. He added that only a few cases of information worth reviewing were provided to this center, and no new charges in this regard were raised for separate follow-up."

The article recently published in the New York Times also reports that Tom Sneddon delayed, for the second time, the delivery of the complaint papers to begin the judicial review of Michael’s case. This led Michael’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, to raise the question of whether his client is even going to be sued at all. However, in his recent statements, Tom Sneddon said, "It doesn’t make any sense for the sheriff and me to have done something that, over time, is bound to fail."
