December 2, 2003 – Arnold apologizes to Michael Jackson

California’s governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, sent a full apology message to him because of allegations attributed to Michael Jackson by state officials regarding any sexual misconduct. This is Schwarzenegger’s first real reaction as the new governor of California, and it has drawn a great deal of response from across the country. Arnold previously told the media, "You have to know Michael the way I know him to understand that he has never harmed anyone, especially a child. Look, I have been in his home at times when people were sleeping there, and the environment was completely fun. And yes, we all slept together, but nothing dirty happened— not even during bath time. I’m sure Michael is innocent, and I send him a great deal of apology."
