December 3, 2003 – Opening a new official website for Michael’s official statements

From now on, the new website www.mjnews.us will inform fans, relatives, and the media of the latest statements from the Michael Jackson group. The opening text of the site is as follows:

"To my fans, friends, and relatives:

As you know, the recent allegations against me are very seriously based on a big lie. This will be made clear in court, and we will be able to move past this unfortunate time. Since the allegations are extremely serious, I hope you all understand that my lawyers’ advice limits what I can say about this situation. There will also be times when I cannot comment at all. Without doubt, this is upsetting for all of us. That is why I have set up this website so that it can serve as an official source for my communications in this matter. Any statement that does not appear on this website should be considered unofficial. You have the right to doubt some of those who are introduced to the media as my friends, spokespersons, and lawyers. Except for a few exceptions, most of them are simply filling the void that exists in our culture and that is put on display. We do not get involved in speculation. We will not provide interpretations behind every new development or new allegation. We intend to use what we have available in court, not in public or with the media. Thank you all for your understanding and support.
