January 20, 2006 - Interview with Geraldo Rivera by Raymond Ben

On Friday, January 20, Raymond Ben, the spokesperson for Michael Jackson, spoke in an interview with Geraldo Rivera about Michael and about rejecting rumors that have been circulating about him in the media for some time.

Below are excerpts from this interview:

Geraldo: As you know, for a while now there’s been a rumor going around that Michael has become addicted to drugs and is very sick...

Raymond Ben: That’s not true. I’ve met him and spent time with him. I’ve spoken to him by phone, and many people have spoken with him recently as well. Many people have spoken with him in the past few months and can confirm that Michael is not addicted to drugs.

Geraldo: When was the last time you spoke with him?

Raymond Ben: Yesterday.

Geraldo: So physically, he’s healthy.

Raymond Ben: Yes, I know he’s physically healthy. My team and I have met with him. Many artists have spoken with him because of this new project we’re hoping will help a great deal the people of the southern United States.

Geraldo: “I Have This Dream”... When is this song going to hit the market?

Raymond Ben: We expect it to be released in mid- or late February.

Geraldo: And the proceeds will go to the victims of Hurricane Katrina?

Raymond Ben: Yes.

Geraldo: Is he looking for a job in Bahrain?

Raymond Ben: Absolutely not. The truth is that a huge public company worth several billion dollars has asked him to work with them as a consultant.

Don’t believe 90% of what you read, because out of every 10 reports, 9 of them are false.
