Majid: Bashir, the one Michael said he hated—who is it?...
Bashir, the one Michael said he hated—who is it?
Martin Bashir is a person who lived for 8 months in Neverland with Michael Jackson in order to present a documentary film about Michael's life for the general public. But contrary to his promise about showing the real life of Michael Jackson, he portrayed him in a different way and included parts of scenes that Michael had not allowed to be broadcast (from his private life, for example, his children) in that film. On February 3, 2003, the documentary «Living with Michael Jackson» was aired on the English network «ITV1». This documentary is broadcast in the days that follow on networks around the world.

In this documentary, Michael speaks candidly about money, plastic surgery, his childhood, his third child «Prince Michael II», and many other things.
«Bashir», instead of portraying Michael fairly, did everything he could to twist matters as wrongly as possible. Although most viewers of this documentary were not drawn to «Bashir»'s wishes, people around the world announced their support for Michael.
Three days later, on February 6, 2003, Michael, in a statement published in the English media, said:
”Today I may feel more than ever that I have been betrayed. The person who was given the opportunity to get to know my children, my employees, and myself—the person I trusted and told the truth to—was able to misuse my trust and produce this unpleasant and unfair film. Anyone who knows me, knows the truth. And that is that in my life, my children come before everything, and I never harm a child.“
In the days that followed, on many English websites and in the media, Martin was referred to as the 5th most hated figure in the world.
It should be noted that Michael Jackson has never expressed hatred toward Bashir and has only introduced him as a betrayal worker.
