Wide media reaction to fans after Michael’s acquittal verdict

June

Philippines — The wife of the former President of the Philippines, with excitement, says: “Once again, the U.S. judicial system acted with justice. God bless America.”

Romania — A television broadcast shows Romanian fans’ images: “There is no better verdict. Although this was the only verdict they could reach.”

Michael became a beloved figure in Romania after performing two major concerts there in 1992 and 1996, and by donating a playground to an orphanage there.

Fans are delighted and talk about their hero with pride.

Australia — One fan who traveled to California in April this year to support Michael says: “This made me very angry. Because I saw Michael sitting in court and he really looked very weak and thin. This trial was very heavy for him. Everything he has done so far—good deeds and amazing musical work.”

China — A music radio official in China: At first, when Michael had just been faced with accusations, we were asked not to play his songs. But now that he has been acquitted, there is no problem. This verdict increases the number of Michael’s songs on the radio. There’s no doubt about it.”

France — Yves Gautier, a French author of a Michael Jackson book, says the “other side of the mirror”: “Michael Jackson still has very loyal fans in France and Asia, and he can arrange a world tour after his physical health improves.”

Gautier, speaking to LCI Television, said: “He is a fighter. He should work on his financial issues. But more than that, on his past.”
