Comments by Uri Geller, Michael Jackson’s friend, after the court verdict

June

BBC’s news channel immediately after the verdict of Michael Jackson’s acquittal made a television connection with Uri Geller, a Jewish friend of Michael known for bending spoons with his spoon-bending technique (it is said that he does this using the power of his mind). In this interview, Geller said that after Michael’s innocence was announced, he felt relieved.

“I’m really happy for Michael Jackson and I’m relieved. The nightmare is over.”

“The difficult experience Michael had during these past few months has ended. He has left it behind. Thank God he was saved.”

Geller said he knew Michael was innocent.

He explained that although he had never doubted Michael’s innocence, he once hypnotized him at his home in London and asked him whether he had ever touched a child inappropriately. Geller said that Michael had answered him that he would never do such a thing. Geller called Michael an innocent person and said he is never capable of harming children.

He also said that in his heart, Michael is like a child.

He added that once, when Michael was a guest at his home, he told him that creating such relationships with children is not right.

“I told him that I know he would never do anything inappropriate, but people can’t understand this kind of closeness with children so much.”

Geller said that in response, Michael only stared at him as if he didn’t understand what he meant at all.

Geller also said that once, when he was going up the stairs at Michael’s home, Norland, he asked him whether he was a lonely man.

“He looked at me for about 10 seconds, and then he said, ‘Uri Geller, I’m a very lonely man.’”

He also went on to say that Michael is a musical genius. Everyone knows that. And if he wants, he can achieve his past success again.
