نسخه‌ی نایابی از فیلم مونواکر مایکل جکسون یافت شد

یک نسخه‌ی کمیاب از فیلم مونواکر مایکل جکسون حاوی قطعه‌ی رقص اسموت کریمینال، هفته‌ی گذشته در استودیو سیتی، کالیفرنیا معرفی شد. امی ردمن، زنی که طی چند سال با کالین چیلورز (Colin Chilvers) کارگردان قطعه‌ی اسموت کریمینال از این فیلم همکاری داشته است، بیش از ۳۰ دقیقه از این قطعه را بر روی سه حلقه فیلم در اختیار دارد و می‌گوید: "من تنها نسخه‌ی سینمایی تهیه شده از این فیلم را (برای نمایش در سالن‌های سینمای ایالات متحده) در اختیار دارم. مایکل ایده‌ای در سر داشت و مونواکر نتیجه‌ی آن ایده است. نیمی از این فیلم، به شکل لایو اکشن (رقص، بازیگری، خواندن و اجرا) و نیم دیگر کلی انیمیشن (پویانمایی خمیری) است." این فیلم گرچه در سال ۱۹۸۸ در سینماهای اورپا نمایش داده شد اما سینماهای آمریکا هرگز این فیلم را به چشم ندیدند، در عوض نسخه‌های خانگی این فیلم خوب فروش رفت و حسابی موفق شد. چیلورز این نسخه‌ی سینمایی از فیلم را به عنوان تبلیغی برای کارش به ایستگاه‌های خرید و فروش محصولات تصویری ارائه داد و ردمن با یک مسئول پروژکتور در سینما تماس گرفت، که پس از بررسی فیلم، تشخیص داد محصول خوبی است. ژانویه‌ی امسال خبر رسید که سینمای آرکلایت در هالیوود به دنبال نسخه‌ی سینمایی این فیلم می‌گردد تا آن را بر روی پرده‌های نقره‌ای نمایش دهد. بنیاد مایکل جکسون گفته بود که فیلم‌های خام را در اختیار دارد اما هنوز تصمیمی برای ارائه‌ی آنها ندارد. ردمن طی این سالها این نسخه از فیلم را در دست داشت و اکنون که خبرها در مورد مایکل داغ است، پا به میدان گذاشته. وی ابراز امیدواری کرده است که آنها بر روی خرید این نسخه‌ از فیلم که نشانه‌ی گستره‌ی نبوغ مایکل جکسون است، به توافق برسند. نبوغی که اوی می‌گوید خود شاهدش بوده است. منبع: eMJey.com / salem-news.com / TMZ
