4) Jermaine wrote that when Catherine was in Arizona, TJ was caring for Michael’s children. But after TJ’s eleven-day efforts to get Michael’s children to speak with Catherine went nowhere, he officially took temporary guardianship of them and had no prior legal obligation or requirement to do so. While Catherine was still in Arizona, Michael’s children spent eleven days without their legal guardian.

5) Jermaine writes that they had gone to the Calabasas home to talk with Michael’s children, but security forces prevented them from contacting them.

“We went to Calabasas to talk to the kids and discuss how they can meet their grandmother. But the guards didn’t allow us to do that, and it was clear that mutual suspicion had caused the administration of affairs to get out of control. I’m sorry that it went this far. I’m sorry for any distress we caused for Prince, Paris, and Blanket. My intention—Jannet, Rebbie, and Randy’s intention—was never that.”

Surveillance footage shows Paris and Prince getting out of a car, greeting their uncles and aunts, and exchanging pleasantries. But shortly after, things become tense and a confrontation occurs. So, in essence, they had managed to face Michael’s children. However, instead of talking, they took photos of the kids with their own cameras—and even Janet tried to take Paris’s mobile phone from her. That’s when security forces stepped in, and they were driven out.

In short, Jermaine says that the order barring them from entering Calabasas caused him to step away from his previous position.

“Yesterday, I received a phone call from my son Jafar, and it broke my heart. He asked, ‘Is it true that we can no longer gather at my grandmother’s house like a family?’”

The final line of his letter is: “Above all else, what matters is… family.” But for Michael, his children come first. Jermaine has no legal right to challenge the Michael Foundation or the administration of his children, yet in his letter he emphasized that his concerns about the foundation remain, and that he will step into the arena whenever necessary—but this time not by creating a public spectacle. He also didn’t mention that the will is fake.

Roger Friedman called Jermaine Jackson a pragmatist. He wrote:
