mj-6th-annual-charity-event.jpg Michael Jackson's mother will once again, as she has for the past six years, host the "I Can't Stop Loving You" celebration in honor of her son's birthday in Gary, the family's hometown. This year the celebration will be held on August 21 and 22. Admission to the event, which will take place at the Genesis Convention Center, is free and open to the public. The event will begin at noon each day. On the first day, an opening ceremony will be held with the participation of the mayor, the chief of police, and the Roosevelt High School marching band. During the two-day celebration, residents will enjoy free live music concerts performed by a number of national artists. On this day, school supplies, backpacks, and other items needed by students as they head into a new school year will be provided and donated by Michael Jackson's mother and children. The city of Gary will also host a Michael Jackson dance competition with a five-thousand-dollar prize for the winner. You can view photos from the celebration on Instagram.
