The Official Charts Company, which tracks music sales in the UK, has reported that Michael Jackson has sold close to four million singles in Britain since his death. His fans have downloaded 4 million of his tracks in that time.
A spokesperson for the company said: "His legacy lives on through his music."
Among Michael Jackson's catalog, the following songs have recorded the most downloads: "Man in the Mirror" from the Bad album, with 413,000 downloads, tops the chart as the King of Pop's best-selling single in the UK. "Thriller" from the Thriller album comes second with 244,000 downloads. "Billie Jean" from the Thriller album with 224,000 downloads, "Smooth Criminal" from the Bad album with 189,000 downloads, and "Beat It" from the Thriller album with 171,000 downloads round out the top five.
Other best-selling tracks include "Hold My Hand" featuring Akon, "Love Never Felt So Good" from the new Xscape album featuring Justin Timberlake, "Dirty Diana," "The Way You Make Me Feel," and "Black or White."
Beyond singles, Michael Jackson also sold 3.8 million album copies in the same region during that same period.
