XSCAPE: The Best-Selling Album in the World

global-xscape.jpg This week, Michael Jackson's new album Xscape topped the sales charts worldwide. The album reached number one in 52 countries and placed in the top 5 in 87 other countries. The album also reached number one on Amazon and Spotify. Xscape managed to dethrone Frozen, which had topped Spotify since January. The album also debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and reached number one on the Hits chart as well as in the UK. Total global sales of all Michael Jackson albums to date have surpassed one billion copies, so it's no surprise that a new album released after his death would reach number one in corners of the world including Australia, the UK, France, Malaysia, and South Africa. Meanwhile, Love Never Felt So Good, the first and only single released from the album, topped the iTunes sales chart in 18 countries and reached number five in the United States and 89 other countries. The music video for the song also reached number one on iTunes. Source: eMJey.com / Michael Jackson Official
