Michael Jackson Documentary Sold at Cannes Film Festival
A new documentary about Michael Jackson was sold yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival.
The documentary is titled "Michael: The Last Photo Shoots" and is an exciting account of Michael Jackson's final photoshoots for Vogue and Ebony magazines, which took place in New York in September 2007. Read more about this documentary here.
News of this documentary's production arrived last summer, and now — eight months later — the wait for its release and screening appears to be nearing its end.
The company Lighting Entertainment has acquired the international distribution rights to the film. The company's vice president said:
"Today, five years after his passing, we see Michael Jackson as powerful and influential as ever. This documentary offers a rare glimpse into his life and is a compelling film. We are pleased to represent this documentary at Cannes."
