Tanya Jackson: The Kids Want Conrad Murray to Leave the Country
Tanya Jackson, the 29-year-old daughter of Tito and half-sister of Taj, TJ, and Taryll, told the New York Daily News in an interview that Michael's children do not want Murray to remain in the country.
Tanya says that Michael's three children are disgusted that Murray was released from prison so quickly, is attempting to return to his medical career, and has even set his sights on a singing career. They believe Murray should leave the country. Tanya says the Jacksons can never forgive Murray and do not believe his punishment was sufficient. The idea of Murray seeking to have his medical license reinstated is, to the Jacksons, a sick joke.
Tanya, who — like the rest of the Jacksons — has entered the music business, says family members believe more people were involved in Michael's death, but that his killing was carried out by Conrad Murray through the administration of propofol. Tanya says Murray should have been tried for murder, and in their eyes he is a killer who escaped justice.
Taj and Taryll Jackson had previously stated that they have no sister. Tanya is the product of an extramarital relationship between Tito Jackson and another woman, at a time when Tito was already married with children. When Tito's teenage sons lost their mother in 1994, Tanya was 10 years old and says she enjoyed and supported her brothers' success as the group 3T. Tanya won a legal case against Tito, and the court ruled that she is his daughter. Nevertheless, Taj and Taryll do not regard her as their sister. Tanya says 40-year-old Taj has treated her in a very childish manner, Taryll has no interest in her either, but TJ — who is also the guardian of Michael's children — has been supportive of his younger sister.
