As a result, you are legally obligated to maintain confidentiality, and this obligation remains in effect even after Michael Jackson's death. The Michael Jackson Estate holds this right of confidentiality and may assert it. The Estate has never granted and will never grant you any right to discuss Michael Jackson, his treatments, or the conversations that took place between you, with any individual or with the media.
There is no doubt that you have already violated doctor-patient confidentiality law. Having chosen to remain silent before the jury that convicted you at trial, it is deeply cowardly that you now seek to defend your conduct before the public by recounting alleged conversations between yourself and Michael and purported medical treatments. The information you disclosed in your interview is precisely the kind of information that the law seeks to protect. If you continue to violate your medical oath and disclose information — much of which appears to be fabricated — the Estate will use all necessary and available legal remedies, including filing a lawsuit against you, which would legally prohibit you from publicly disclosing private information about Mr. Jackson in interviews and in the book you apparently intend to sell. Moreover, if the surprising news of your attempt to reclaim your medical license is true, the Estate will certainly report your violation of doctor-patient confidentiality law — and any refusal to respect this principle with respect to Michael Jackson's treatments — to the relevant medical boards."
