Denzel Washington Turns Down Conrad Murray
The British newspaper Mirror reports that Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington has rejected Conrad Murray's request to play his role in a film based on Michael Jackson's life.
The newspaper writes that Murray intends to make a film based on Michael Jackson's life and has asked Washington to play his (Murray's) role.
A Hollywood source said that Washington immediately rejected Murray's request and has no interest in participating in the project:
"Denzel Washington was a friend of Michael's and is deeply hurt by what happened. The very thought of helping a man who killed his friend is absurd. Murray is delusional if he thinks Hollywood's top names will agree to work with him. He tells the story as if he is the victim."
Dr. Conrad Murray caused Michael Jackson's death in 2009 by administering an anesthetic drug, and was imprisoned for involuntary manslaughter. He was recently released after serving two years.
