AEG Trial Session 87: Jury Deliberations (Day 1)

Today, following the conclusion of the Jacksons' defense attorney's closing argument, the jury entered deliberations to reach a verdict.

They first elected a jury foreperson from among their 12 members and notified those present by sending a note to the court. The foreperson is juror number six — a married white male high school teacher residing in Los Angeles.

This selection was followed by a complaint letter from two of Michael's fans who had been admitted to the session by lottery. They claimed that during the trial this man had made eye contact with the company's female defense attorney and that the two had been exchanging pleasantries. The judge dismissed this claim.

The jury also requested the following items:

— Notepads
— 12 highlighter markers
— 12 red pens
— 12 black pens
— A video player
— The This Is It documentary
— 12 copies of AEG's employment contract with Conrad Murray

After two hours of deliberations, the jury adjourned. Tomorrow will be a full working day for them.
