Justin Bieber covers a Michael Jackson song (Download)

Just yesterday, a two-voice song by Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber caused quite a stir on the internet, and it was met with a quick reaction from the Michael Jackson Foundation. They said they do not approve of the song, issued an order to remove it from YouTube, and in a statement they sent to Michael Jackson websites (including us), they said:

"This song is unauthorized and has been removed."

In another statement, they added: "This song is unauthorized and therefore there is no intention to release it."

Now, Sony is trying to clear out many videos that have been uploaded to YouTube using this song.

This song is called Slave To The Rhythm (“Slave to the Rhythm”) and is one of Michael Jackson’s unreleased tracks. The acapella version of this song was never released. It has been said that during his lifetime, Michael had fully recorded and completed this song.

Demin Shields, a member of the fan community news team, says that Randy Jerkins, the producer of Michael Jackson’s Invincible album, has recently given her the following information about this song:

"Slave To The Rhythm was recorded in 1989 for the album Invincible. LA Reid and Babyface were its producers."

Previously, it was thought that this song was one of the leftovers from the Invincible era. During the recording of Invincible, Michael played this song for Randy, but they didn’t work on it and it was not released on the Invincible album.

"One day he played the song for me so he could ask my opinion. I liked the song. But what kind of Michael song is there that I wouldn’t like? I love all of his songs."

Jerkins doesn’t know how this new two-voice song was released. He has nothing to do with this new track, but he says Michael didn’t like it because:

"Michael didn’t like techno music at all."

Slave To The Rhythm leaked online in 2010 with Michael’s vocals. It’s said that the leaked version in 2010 was mixed by Tricky Stewart, and before it was even completed, a DJ named DJ Stolen stole it and released it on the internet under his own signature.

It has been claimed that in 2003, Michael worked on this song with Tricky Stewart—or at least intended to.

Slave To The Rhythm has social content and addresses women’s rights, as well as their services and unrecognized sacrifices at home and in society.

Justin Bieber’s voice has recently been added to this song. In fact, Bieber turned Michael Jackson’s song into his own track by harmonizing with Michael Jackson—he removed the verses sung by Michael and replaced them with his own voice, and most of the song is Bieber’s vocals.

There isn’t much information available about how this song was recorded and released. Some say Bieber had access to the original version, and perhaps one of the older producers provided it to him. Others believe Bieber used Tricky Stewart’s remix for this new remix and, after failing to obtain permission from the Foundation, proceeded to release the song illegally. Bieber fans claim that Bieber told them the song was given to him by the Jackson family so he could work on it—but it’s important to note that the Jackson family does not have management or control over Michael’s songs.

Bieber’s tweets from the past day show that he wasn’t surprised by the release of this song and is even very happy and proud of himself. In fact, hours before the song was released, he promised that "something big" was coming.

Bieber wrote: "I’m excited about what’s coming. MJ set the standard—not just in music, but in choreography and interacting with fans. I wish I was here." He then talked about his enthusiasm for changing the world—something you could hear in every Michael speech: "It’s not always easy, but it’s a gift. We can change the world. I’m ready for the challenge. Big things are on the way. #Greatness. Love you guys."

Contrary to Bieber’s assumption, this song has angered Michael Jackson’s fans. The song that the King didn’t build and release—and maybe what plans he didn’t have for it—is now being offered in a very unprofessional way by a newcomer singer.

From the Foundation and Bieber’s statements, it seems that Bieber has covered and remixed Michael’s song without permission from the Foundation, while the rights to release Michael’s songs are exclusively held by his Foundation. A person named Max Methods has claimed that he is the producer of this new track and that working on it was an honor for him.

We truly don’t understand the need to release a two-voice version of this song, and we wish it would never happen.
