Day 4 of the AEG trial: Frank Dileo asked for a blood test for Michael Jackson

Five days before Michael’s death, Frank Dileo, his program manager, called Conrad Murray and warned him that Michael was sick. Dileo asked Murray to have Michael undergo a blood test. The audio recording of this phone call was played in court yesterday. The conversation was obtained by police from Murray’s mobile phone. Dileo says:

“I’m sure you know that Michael was rehearsing yesterday. He’s sick. Today is Saturday. I’ll check on him tomorrow. I won’t keep giving him rides. I think you should… I think you should get a blood test for him today. I… we need to know how he is. Very well. Thank you.”

Michael died on Thursday.

Brian Panish, Katherine’s attorney, told reporters outside the courthouse that the rehearsal session Frank Dileo referred to in this conversation took place on the same day that Kenny Ortega, the tour director, had asked Michael to go home to rest and not rehearse. Ortega said that on that day Michael was trembling from weakness and did not have color in his face. Panish says that if Dileo knew about Michael’s weakness, then the company must have known as well. He believes that before calling Murray, Dileo had first informed the company about the situation. Unfortunately, Dileo is not alive to testify about it.
