Reza Sadeghi’s Use of a Portion of a Michael Jackson Song

Reza Sadeghi, dear singer of our beloved country; in the first minute of his song titled “Namardamiha,” he makes use of the drama track “They Don’t Care About Us” from Michael Jackson’s album HIStory.

The Brazilian group Olodum played drums in the music video for this song, which was recorded in 1996 in Rio de Janeiro. Michael personally wrote the lyrics to this song. He had slightly changed the drum part—since he played keyboard, guitar, drums, and percussion on the HIStory album—in order to match the sound of this Brazilian group’s drums. This video brought the Olodum group fame in 140 countries and credibility in their hometown. It’s worth noting that two completely different videos exist for this song, and the second one is known as the “Prison” version.
