A Schoolgirl Got a Golden Ticket to Michael Jackson’s Theatre

Thriller Live, a musical theatre show based on the songs of the Jackson Five and Michael Jackson, has been running in the UK since 2007. Last Wednesday (January 30), it passed the one millionth audience milestone.

Chanel, a schoolgirl from South Croydon, was called out as the millionth person from the crowd on stage to meet the cast. She then received, on stage, a plaque featuring a golden theatre ticket, along with a copy of Michael Jackson’s book Opus, a catalog of Michael Jackson CDs, and memorabilia from the Thriller theatre show. The value of her gift set was over £450 and weighed more than 12 kilograms. Coincidentally, this day also marked the fifth anniversary of Thriller Live theatre’s founding.

Chanel, a die-hard fan of the King of Pop, came to watch the show with her mother. Chanel wore a black, sequined hat that she had bought three years ago as a tribute to Michael Jackson.

Chanel told reporters: “This is the best birthday present. I’ll be seven years old in a week. I love every part of the show except the scary Thriller zombies.”
