How Did Prince Jackson Get Into Television?

Read that at age 16, Prince Jackson became an interviewer for the TV network ET. How did this opportunity come about?

Brooke Anderson, the network reporter, introduced him. In a phone conversation with the Los Angeles Times revealed yesterday, she said that she and Prince have a mutual relationship, and that Brooke had wanted to arrange a collaboration with him ever since the first time she met Prince.

“I thought his interview with the people behind the film The Wizard of Oz would be a great idea. Because his father acted in that film, and he himself is a fan of the story of the Wizard of Oz. He also has dreams of directing and producing.”

Filming took place over the weekend, when classes weren’t held. Brooke Anderson helped Prince prepare for the interview, assisted him with the questions, and also shared tips with him on staying calm during the interview and in front of the camera. She even worked out with him to take the stress off him.

Anderson adds: “He really didn’t need much training. It might seem strange because he’s only 16, but he’s very composed and confident.”

Anderson said that all three interviewees—James Franco, Zac Efron, and Sam Raimi—were aware of Prince’s identity, but by not asking about his father, they prevented the interview from going off track. She continued:

“During the interview, Zac Efron asked Prince if it was really his first interview. Prince made a great impression on all three of them, and they were all amazed by the breadth of his knowledge about the film industry. He had good information about 3D techniques—something I’m not aware of at all.”

Although Prince is temporarily working with ET, Anderson hopes she can make him available for more interviews. For example, they might benefit from his presence on children’s and teen shows and events, including the Kids’ Choice Awards ceremony.

In Anderson’s view: “The fact that he’s the son of the King of Pop might help him, but Prince understands his father. He says everything is owed to him.”
