Reggae in tribute to Michael Jackson
Kashief Lindo, a Jamaican reggae singer, has dedicated his new album to Michael Jackson. The album is called “A Reggae Tribute to Michael Jackson.”
Reggae is a music style that was established in Jamaica in the late 1960s. “Bob Marley” (Bob Marley) is considered one of the famous and prominent musicians of this genre.
In 1975, the teenage Michael and his brothers opened a Bob Marley concert in Jamaica. Michael was a fan of Marley, and his children—Prince and Paris—also remember this late, style-defining singer on their Twitter accounts.
Other artists of this genre include the Iranian girl group “Abgiz,” who work in Sweden.

Lindo described producing this album as exciting and difficult, but also enjoyable, and said:
"I grew up with Michael Jackson’s music and I never left it. He played a big role in my growth. Michael Jackson has influenced me greatly as a singer, and this album is my tribute to him."
Kashief Lindo previously released a short album called “Remembering Michael Jackson,” and you can listen to a part of it on YouTube. This album, with 7 tracks, was released on June 24, 2011—one day before the second anniversary of the King of Pop’s death—and it was sold on iTunes.
