Joe Jackson Steps Away from the Vietnam Project

Last year, on Michael Jackson’s birthday in the city of Gary, his father Joseph again spoke about his dreams for reopening a museum and an art center. One of these ideas was building the largest amusement park in Southeast Asia in Vietnam, called “Happy Land.”

Recently, he announced that he has stepped away from this $2 billion project. The project was selected by Khang Thong, one of the largest investment companies in Vietnam, and it was supposed to be built inspired by Michael Jackson’s Neverland farm and amusement park.

Joseph Jackson thanked the people of Vietnam for their hospitality and the efforts of the officials, but said that after discussions with financial advisors and family members, he came to the conclusion that it would be better not to be involved in the project.
