Jermaine Jackson, Michael’s older brother, said in an interview with the Toronto Sun:

“Michael hated the nicknames the media gave him (like wacko jacko—Wacko Jo, Jackson the fool). They kept using those words, which bothered Michael. Why? Because he had devoted his fame to spreading a godly and pure message in the world—for children and for people. But all the media did was focus on his skin color. Accusing him of terrible things is… false allegations of child abuse. They worked hard to destroy him. This accusation was made because they knew he loved children, and they struck him through children.

Before he died, he had donated hundreds of millions of dollars from his wealth to help people. (This figure is one-third of his total assets. According to estimates from the Guinness World Records book, Michael Jackson was the most charitable artist.)

Wherever he went to any hospital anywhere in the world, he would visit the emergency department to see who needed urgent surgery. He would pay for the operations—lung transplants, liver surgeries, and important procedures like these. That’s what he did. Or there were people who couldn’t afford the costs of their loved ones’ burial and funeral. He would cover the cost of the ceremonies.

Since Michael was still a child, the whole family knew he had a special ability in him.

He could do every move after seeing it just once. He could watch the dance of Sammy Davis Jr., Gene Kelly, or Fred Astaire and do it himself. When he was a kid, he had an extraordinary voice—and that was a gift from God. He didn’t want his many talents only for himself; he used his God-given gift to help children and people who were on the verge of death from hunger and needed attention.”
