Michael Jackson’s Sweet Potato Pie Recipe
Frank DeCaro has written a cookbook titled "The Cooking Book of the Late Celebrities", and in it he includes a new recipe for sweet potato pie, which is said to belong to Michael Jackson.
Eggs - 3
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Melted butter - 1/4 cup
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Milk - 1/2 cup
Vanilla - 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice or fresh orange juice - 2 tablespoons
Mashed sweet potatoes - 2 1/2 cups
Nutmeg - 1 teaspoon
Chopped walnuts - 1/2 cup
Preparation:Beat the eggs and mix them with the sugar. Add the melted butter, salt, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the mixture to the mashed sweet potatoes, and finally add the lemon juice or orange juice. Pour the resulting mixture into a baking dish and decorate it with chopped walnuts.
Place the dish in the oven for 10 minutes at 400°F. The oven should be preheated. After this time, reduce the oven temperature to 375°F and let your sweet potato pie bake for another 40 minutes. When the top turns golden, remove it from the oven.
Each serving of this pie contains 327 calories, 19 grams of fat, 35 grams of carbohydrates, and 5 grams of protein.
