French Fans File a Complaint Against Conrad Murray

About 100 French Michael Jackson fans have filed a complaint against his killer in their city’s court. They say that Conrad Murray, by killing Michael, caused them emotional and psychological harm.

Conrad Murray, who was accused of Michael’s involuntary manslaughter, was found guilty by the court and sentenced to the maximum penalty. He must spend the next four years in prison.

The lawyer for the French fans, Emmanuel Ludat, announced yesterday that their lawsuit will be presented on April 11 during a hearing at the Orleans city court.

Ludat says Michael’s death has had a harmful effect on these fans, as if they had lost a childhood friend. Ludat explains that, due to the emotional harm such events cause individuals, French law recognizes the right of the survivors to object and file a lawsuit.
