Darcey Bussel, a retired ballet dancer from the UK, has described Michael Jackson as one of her most popular dancers.

This 42-year-old superstar, trained at the Royal Ballet School, says that besides Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Michael Jackson is one of her favorite dancers. She will perform a television show this Christmas in memory of the greats of dance.

She said about Michael Jackson: “When I was a teenager, I used to watch Michael Jackson’s Thriller trailer video and practice the dances in my room. Those dances were the most amazing ones of their kind. You could see the deep influence of Fred Astaire in Michael Jackson. He had an insatiable appetite for being impressed and for receiving inspiration, and he enjoyed every kind of dance and music. He was born for the stage.”
